True Blue

True Blue is the solo alias of multi-instrumentalist,songwriter, and producer Maya Laner. After cutting her teeth in New York’s vibrant indie scene, Laner’s first offerings as True Blue came in 2017 with the single “Bad Behavior” and in 2018with her debut EP ‘Edge Of’.

Her work has garnered praise from outlets like The Fader, Office Magazine, and Pitchfork, who declared, “Her lyrics are poetic and intensely physical, but the sonics are as airy and sweet as cotton candy.”

Recent tracks like 2023’s “Airplane Mode” and “Wanna Believe” showcase True Blue’s ability to confidently twist pop conventions into fresh new worlds. Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of influences, True Blue continues to carve out her own unique sonic territory with each release.
