Pussy Riot Diana Burkot

Diana Burkot was born in Lyubertsy, Moscow, and started her first band Babanana Princess at the age of 19. In 2011, she became a member of Pussy Riot as a drummer, singer and activist. After several high profile acts of protest, she got separated from the other girls in the band, and hid in Ukraine. Also in 2011, she started a solo project called Rosemary Loves a Blackberry, which has released four albums so far.

In 2019, she became a performer in Riot Days, the newest Purry Riot show. After graduating from art school, Diana continued to study various courses, from sound art to feminist and activist residencies and programs. She has been living and studying in Iceland sind 2023.
