Chanel Beads – the project of New York-based musician Shane Lavers – has announced a headline US/UK/EU tour in support of his debut album, ‘Your Day Will Come’, out now via Jagjaguwar. Having just wrapped a sold-out tour with Mount Kimbie last month, Chanel Beads will return to the UK for a headline show at Corsica Studios, London, as well as Rally and End of the Road festivals in August, before wider UK and European dates (and Pitchfork festival) later in 2024. Also announced is their first North American headline tour (full dates at the foot).

Chanel Beads have also released an official video for album standout ‘Idea June’, directed by Dana Greenleaf. On the track, Maya McGrory takes lead vocals to project Shane’s lyrics, singing in a voice that’s both earnest and digitally processed as though she’s speaking as a separate embodiment of Shane. In under two minutes, distorted guitars and cinematic strings by Zachary Paul land somewhere between detachment and kinship, becoming strangely affecting despite its unfinished and liminal form.
