Avalanche Kaito

Avalanche Kaito has been describes as ‘grrriot_punk_noise’. Burkinabe singer Kaito Winse, the guardian of the ancestral griot tradition, rubs shoulders with the multiform approaches of drummer and ‘pure dataïst’ Benjamin Chaval and anarcho-guitarist Nico Gitto in an explosive combination. Managing to combine both a seductive trance power and a wicked experimental side, the project is very unique within the musical landscape. Their sound stood out from the moment they hit the Belgian scene in July 2021.

A real craze followed, which brought them to several European countries and even Canada, seeing the band perform over fifty times at festivals and in clubs. Their debut EP ‘Dabalomuni’ released in 2022, and their self-titled debut album followed soon after. In that same year, the Grammy’s commissioned Avalanche Kaito to make a live video that was broadcast on the neworks of the prestigious institution. Last April, their second album was unleashed on the world, and it’s yet more proof that the only way is up for this band.
